Neuigkeiten vom MTV Hip Hop Open Minded 2009, das am 18.Juli in Mannheim im Schloss Ehrenhof stattfinden wird. Die Veranstalter konnten niemand geringeres als Xavier Naidoo als Moderator des Festivals gewinnen. Die perfekte Wahl.

“Voller Stolz und Vorfreude dürfen wir Xavier Naidoo als Moderator des MTV HipHopOpen Minded Festivals 2009 bekannt geben. Wir freuen uns auf Künstler wie Peter Fox, Jan Delay, Method & Redman, Clueso oder Kool Savas und den besten Moderatoren, den man sich für dieses Festival in dieser Stadt wünschen kann: Xavier Naidoo.”

Naidoo ist Mit-Initiator und Dozent an der Mannheimer Popakademie und Gründungsmitglied der Söhne Mannheims, die übrigens am 10.Juli ihr neues Album “IZ On” veröffentlichen. Noch bis zum 23.Juni spielen die legendären Roots jede Woche ein Konzert in Manhattans Highline Ballroom. Die 14-teilige Jam Session-Reihe trägt den Titel “The Jam” und ein Karte kostet nur 10 (!) Am 30.Mai und am 6.Juni findet erst in Hannover (Musiktheater BAD) und dann in Dresden (Open Air Area Industriegelände) das diesjährige “One Love Festival” statt. Am gestrigen Tage wurde nun das offizielle und finale Lineup bekanntgegeben. Die Veranstalter achten auch in diesem darauf, dass es zu keinen horrenden Preisen bei den Tickets und auf dem Festivalgelände kommen wird:

“Karten gibt es schon fuer 25 Euro im Vorverkauf und toppt damit alles andere um Laengen. Wie im letzten Jahr wird vor Ort stark darauf geachtet wirklich humane Preise anzubieten. Kein Bier oder Döner fuer 4 Euro. Die Preise werden einfach “normal” bleiben.”
